Wine producers and US retailers needed to trade directly, without unnecessary intermediaries driving up cost and complexity.

The client

Cellar62 is a B2B platform connecting US wine retailers directly with wine producers across Europe and other wine-producing regions. It replaces layers of importers and distributors with one direct channel, so buyers and producers can communicate, and agree on orders year-round, in a centralized environment built for the wine trade.

The challenge

Selling wine into the US means navigating import rules, sample shipments, and a fragmented set of contacts on both sides. Cellar62 needed a presentation site that explained the model clearly, plus a marketplace where producers could list wine, retailers could browse and negotiate, and both sides could communicate without friction.

What Cellar62 needed, and what we built

The need

What we built

Explain what Cellar62 is and how the marketplace works.

A presentation website built for clarity, focused on the model and its value to retailers and producers.

Turn visitor interest into contact with the sales team.

A sales funnel that leads visitors toward the Cellar62 sales team.

Give producers a way to showcase their wines and talk directly with retailers.

Winery microsites for brand identity, awards, and pricing, a brand dashboard for catalogs and media, and real-time chat and ticketing.

Support a global, multilingual audience with a modern interface.

A multilingual platform with a modern interface built for the global wine trade.

How we worked

  1. Understand the model

We reviewed Cellar62's content and materials to understand its positioning in the US wine trade before any design work began.

  2. Design the presentation site

We designed and built a presentation website focused on clarity and the value of trading directly, for both retailers and producers.

  3. Build the marketplace

In the second phase, we built the marketplace platform itself, combining the requirements of importing and selling wine in the US into one system.

The result

Wine producers and US retailers now connect directly, with less friction and lower costs.

Producers list products and respond to inquiries quickly. Retailers browse, communicate, and agree on orders directly. Wineries and US retailers connect with less friction, more transparency, and lower costs.

What the site does

  • Winery microsites for brand identity, awards, and pricing
  • A brand dashboard for catalogs, product data, and media
  • Real-time chat and a ticketing system for direct communication
  • Analytics dashboards tracking leads, product views and buyer behavior
