About Madeira Sea Emotions
Madeira Sea Emotions is a maritime tourism company based on Madeira Island, offering whale and dolphin watching tours. Their operations focus mainly on the waters around Ponta de São Lourenço, one of the island’s most scenic and biodiverse areas.
Project goals
- Establish a brand new digital presence to increase chances as the top Google organic search result for sea tours in the region
- Integrate Online Booking Software for Tours and Activities
Our approach
For this specific project, we started by reviewing all existing online sales channels to ensure consistent and accurate information across all digital platforms. A full audit of all tour-related content was also carried out to make sure it met the quality standards and expectations of today’s travel audience.
Once the user journey and website design, optimized for conversion of clients, were approved the implementation began using WordPress with custom development, focusing especially on providing a smooth backend experience for easy content management by staff.
Based on the findings from the initial business audit, it was decided to integrate the FareHarbor booking system into the company’s operations and embed the booking engine directly on the website to centralize all reservation channels.
Outcome
The new website made it easier for both local and international visitors to find and book boat tours on various channels. All tour experiences are clearly presented, with instant booking options available directly on the site. The interface is mobile-friendly, clean, and multilingual, making it accessible to a wider audience and contributing to continuously attracting new visitors to the page.
Direct bookings increased, thanks to a simplified user journey, planned architecture for better SEO performance, and the integration of a centralized checkout system. Madeira Sea Emotions is now better positioned to reach new customers, improve conversion rates, and expand its presence in Madeira’s competitive tourism market.
