LYONA Sportswear is a dynamic, women-led athletic brand proudly designed in Portugal. Focused on empowering women in fitness and daily life, LYONA delivers innovative, stylish, and high-quality sportswear for the gym, outdoor training, and everyday confidence.

Supported by a passionate team and a growing global community of LYONA ambassadors, the brand inspires movement, motivation, and self-expression, whether in the studio or on the street.
Project goals
Like many startups, LYONA needed to launch a new business within a controlled budget, balancing ambition with practicality.
The main objectives were:
- Develop a modern eCommerce website to support both online and physical sales
- Provide a simple, easy-to-manage back office for daily operations
- Automate key processes, including legal invoicing, inventory updates, and email marketing, to reduce manual effort and human error
Our Approach
The project began with a complete data preparation phase, gathering all essential information such as product descriptions, variants, stock quantities, pricing, weights, and shipping rules.
This meticulous groundwork minimized uncertainty and ensured a smooth, on-time launch aligned with LYONA’s store inauguration day.
After analyzing requirements and constraints, the decision on the technology turned out to be Shopify as the ideal platform. It provided the perfect balance of scalability, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness for the project’s scope.
Outcome
The new LYONA online store launched on time and within budget, synchronizing perfectly with the opening of the physical retail space.
We implemented:
- A clean, high-performance design reflecting LYONA’s energetic and modern identity
- Seamless integration with Moloni, the Portuguese-certified invoicing system, automating tax-compliant invoicing and stock synchronization
- Integration with email marketing and analytics tools to help the marketing team manage campaigns and track customer behavior from launch day
The website was initially launched in Portuguese and later expanded with an English version to reach international audiences.
Early analytics showed strong engagement as visitors explored multiple product collections and interacted deeply with visual content.
The combination of minimalist design, professional product photography, and fluid navigation contributed to higher conversion potential and a positive customer lifetime value trend from the first sales cycle.
