Sales and Business Developer
About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales and Business Development Representative to join our growing team. As the first sales resource in our company, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth, acquiring new clients, and expanding our market presence on a new and exciting product.
With a focus on building a rich pipeline of opportunities, the Sales and Business Developer works through different channels in generating valuable leads and prequalifying them.
Builds, maintains, and forecasts sales pipeline.
Supports the creation and development of account plans. Generates, qualifies, and reviews new leads.
Understands client requirements and competitively positions company solutions to meet the needs to drive retention strategy.
Builds targeted sales pipeline and forecasts sales activities.
Job responsibilities
- Help develop our channel and demand generation strategy for the EU and US market
- Proactively identify and generate leads through various channels such as outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and online research.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients, understand their needs, and present our products/services as tailored solutions to address their pain points.
- Utilize effective sales techniques to negotiate terms, handle objections, and close deals. Meet or exceed sales targets within specified timeframes.
- Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and potential areas for growth. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients to foster loyalty and drive repeat business. Provide exceptional customer service and address any client concerns or inquiries.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement sales strategies, pricing models, and promotional campaigns to maximize sales effectiveness.
- Utilize a CRM system to track and manage leads, opportunities, and customer interactions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and pipeline.
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record in sales, business development, or a related role
- Strong personal drive and ambition to succeed in an open environment and desire to achieve and taking personal accountability
- Comfortable adapting and dealing with different cultures, private and public entities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-manage time to reach objectives, thereby capable to balance action with results
- Used to execute against a plan which has a limited amount of time per suspect and there will not only be rejection, but also some level of chasing of key stakeholders
- Knowledge of C-suite relationship management and social capital development methods
- Level of English required: C1-C2. Great written, oral presentation and persuasion skills
- B2 or higher level of Portuguese (Spanish, and/or French, and/or German, and/or Italian are a plus)
- Understanding of the basic principles of value selling
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales tools
